BenQ releases new V5010i 4K RGB Laser TV
BenQ is now selling the V5010i Laser TV in various countries worldwide. The ultra-short throw DLP model is advertised as having a 4K resolution. Its RGB laser light source delivers a peak brightness level of 2,500 ANSI lumens and a 20,000-hour life expectancy.
The V5010i can project images up to 120 inches (~305 cm) wide with a 2,500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The BenQ projector is said to cover 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and 95% of the BT.2020 color gamut, with support for HDR10+ and HLG. Plus, you can quickly perfect the image with tools like automatic keystone correction and automatic screen fit. Gaming features include an auto low latency mode (ALLM), with input lags ranging from 8.7ms for 1080p@240Hz to 21.2ms for 1080p@120Hz.
With an Android OS, you can access various popular streaming apps and control the device with Google Assistant voice commands. There are also built-in speakers with a 40W output and a range of ports, including HDMI 2.0b (HDCP 2.2), USB and SPDIF. You can use these to connect game consoles, TV streaming sticks or a 7.1-channel speaker system with support for Dolby Atmos. The BenQ V5010i Laser TV is now available for $2,999/€4,065.60.
