Konka 110A8 presented as world's best-lit 110-inch 8K TV
Hisense has beaten Konka in getting an ultra-premium (and ultra-pricey) 110-inch 8K miniLED TV onto the market - however, the latter asserts that its upcoming rival will have a crucial advantage when it does go on sale.
The 110A8 is touted as a breakthrough in its high-end category in that it has no less than 230,000 "backlight zones", whereas the 110UX is marketed as having ~40,000 dimming zones instead.
Accordingly, Konka asserts that it will have the edge in the reproduction of light and shade on its massive miniLED screen.
All of those zones will be controlled by a chipset informed by "advanced AI models" to ensure its potentially advanced picture quality.
The 110A8 is also slated to deliver "immersive 360° surround sound" via no less than 94 watts (W) of inbuilt audio provided by JBL and a HiFi Ultra SoundBar to boot.
The potentially ground-breaking TV has made its debut at the "pivotal" 136th Canton Fair trade show, alongside Konka's upcoming 144Hz OLED alternative and slightly smaller 809 100-inch miniLED TV.
