TCL has shipped over 12 million TVs worldwide in 2024 thus far, according to the OEM's latest mid-year market performance report. That number has apparently grown by nearly 10% year-on-year (YoY). TCL also asserts that sales of its big screens with mini-LED or QLED technology have also grown significantly in the first half of 2024 (1H2024).

TCL already counts itself a brand leader in the global TV market, and now claims to build on that success by shipping 12.52 million of them in 1H2024. That figure has apparently grown by 9.2% compared to 1H2023.

TCL also claims to have had a particularly good 2nd quarter this year (2Q2024), shipping ~53.4% of the aforementioned TVs in those 3 months, or 12.9% more than in 2Q2023. The OEM has also observed that the size of display it sells is steadily growing (from an average of 49.9 inches in 1H2023 to one of 51.7 inches in 1H2024).

Accordingly, the OEM shipped 14.5% more TVs measuring 65 inches or more year-on-year, while those of 75 inches or more did even better with an increase of 34.5% compared to 1H2023.

Finally, TCL has now recorded "significant" growth in global shipments of its mini-LED and QLED TVs (like this 2024 Q65 model found on Amazon) for 1H2024, with gains of 122.4% and 64.4% YoY respectively.
