A 115-inch TCL TV, the QM89, is coming soon to the US. Also known as the QM891G, the model is similar to the X955 Max, launched in Europe earlier this year. The QM89 tops the TCL 2024 line-up in the US, above the QM85 which is available in sizes up to 98 inches.
The QM89 is a QD-Mini LED Ultimate model, offering full array local dimming over 20,000 zones with 5,000 nits peak brightness. One upgrade of the QM89 over the QM8 is the TCL QiPQ Ultra Processor, an upgrade on the Pro equivalent used for the smaller sizes. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, with Game Accelerator 240 and Motion Rate 480. Other gaming features include ALLM and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Google TV lets you stream content from popular apps like Disney+ and Netflix, and offers Google Assistant voice commands. Another improvement is with the speakers; the QM89 has a built-in 6.2.2 channel sound system from Onkyo, while the QM8 only provides 2.1 channel audio.
In a press release, TCL suggested that the 115-inch QM89 QLED 4K Smart Google TV would retail for $26,999.99. However, a listing at Best Buy indicates that the device could launch at $19,999.99. It is unclear precisely when this premium model will go on sale.
