METZ blue MQE7001 new entry-level QLED Roku TV arrives

The MQE7001 uses quantum dot technology and a direct LED backlight, but it is not particularly bright, delivering up to 380 nits brightness. However, the model supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. Roku TV allows you to stream content from popular services like Disney+ and Netflix, and you can wirelessly cast from your phone via Apple AirPlay 2. You can add the device to your Apple Home or Google Home smart ecosystems and control the device with voice commands from assistants like Alexa. The model has two integrated 12W speakers, or you can connect external devices via ports like HDMI (ARC) and S/PDIF, with support for Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Atmos.

The METZ Blue MQE7001 QLED Roku TVs are relatively cheap. The 43-inch model costs €499 in Germany, and the 50-inch version retails for €549 at Amazon. The 65-inch device is priced at €699 and is available at Euronics. Plus, a 55-inch model will go on sale later this year, with the RRP yet to be announced. It is unclear whether the company plans to roll out its new TV to other EU countries like France, Spain and Sweden, where it already sells other models.
