Hisense teases new 2024 laser TV with event announcement
Hisense has teased the launch of at least one new laser TV. In a post on the Chinese social media site Weibo, the company released a poster announcing the 2024 Hisense TV New Product Launch Conference, which will take place in China on June 12th.
So far, Hisense has given little away about its latest laser TV. The strap line for the event is "Break through the clouds and fog, the stars shine brightly", which could allude to a particularly bright model. Other wording in the post included the line "visual feast of light and shadow", which may point to a higher contrast ratio. Earlier this year, Hisense unveiled the Starlight S1 laser TV, a 100-inch model on sale in China. The device has an ultra-short throw 4K projector, delivering up to 380 nits brightness, alongside a folding screen with an unusual design. Other features included a built-in 90W surround sound system, support for Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and an HDMI ARC port.
We expect to learn more about the latest Hisense laser TV at the 2024 New Product Launch Conference. Presumably, the device will launch in China, though a release date is unknown. It is also unclear whether or when it could reach other markets like the US, where the company already sells models like the 120"" L9G TriChroma 4K Laser TV.
