Hisense U8NQ Mini LED TV with solar remote now available
The Hisense U8NQ Mini LED ULED 4K TV has been launched in Europe. The model comes in two sizes, 65-inch and 75-inch, and has several upgrades on the recently released U7NQ. Plus, a similar model, the U8N, was launched in the US earlier this year.
The U8NQ uses Mini LED Pro technology with full array local dimming and delivers up to 3,000 nits brightness, making it brighter than the U7NQ, which peaks at 1,500 nits. Hi-View Engine Pro provides 4K upscaling, and the model supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision IQ and HLG. The panel has a native 120Hz refresh rate and offers 144Hz VRR, which triggers when you enter Game Mode Pro. Other gaming features include AMD Freesync Premium Pro and a lower input lag of <9.7ms rather than <11.6ms on the U7NQ. The EU TV uses Vidaa OS rather than Google OS, as seen in the U8N. However, customers can still access apps like Netflix and YouTube and control the TV with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa voice commands. Other features include IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Modes and a solar-powered remote with a “find my remote” tool, as shown in the UK listing.
The U8NQ has a built-in 2.1.2 channel 60W sound system, compatible with Dolby Atmos, and can be connected to a soundbar. Ports on the device include HDMI 2.1 (eARC, ALLM, VRR, 144Hz), USB-C 3.0 and S/PDIF, or you can wirelessly connect to the TV via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi 6. You can now buy the 65-inch and 75-inch Hisense U8NQ Mini LED ULED 4K TVs for €1,999/£1,799 and €2,699/£2,299, respectively.
