TCL T7K cheaper 4K Mini LED TV series with 240Hz motion rate now available

Like the Q10K Pro, the T7K has a native 144Hz refresh rate but is also said to offer a 240Hz motion rate. The TV also has a 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and anti-glare technology. Differences between the T7K and the Q10K Pro include fewer backlight partitions. For example, the 65” model has 512 versus 3,204, and the 98” version has 960 compared to 5,184. The T7K also has a lower peak brightness of 1,600 nits; it is worth noting that this is likely only observed in short bursts. The model has a built-in 70W 2.1 channel sound system compatible with Dolby Atmos. Other supported technologies include Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision Gaming, HDR10+, HLG, IMAX Enhanced and FreeSync.

The T7K is now available to pre-order in China, starting from 3,299 yuan (~$455) for the 55” model. At the other end of the range, the 98” model is currently available from 14,999 yuan (~$2,070). This model is significantly cheaper than the Q10K Pro; for comparison, the 65” T7K costs 4,299 yuan ($595), while the equivalent Q10K Pro is priced at 7,999 yuan (~$1,100). TCL has yet to announce plans to launch the T7K in countries outside of China. In the meantime, you could consider another 4K Mini LED model from the brand, like the TCL QM8 QLED 4K Smart Mini LED TV.
