The Samsung Crystal UHD DU9000 TV has arrived in the US. The new TV is the cheapest 98-inch TV from the brand, which already offers several models of this size. Features include a 120Hz refresh rate alongside various gaming tools like VRR, Game Bar, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium.

Samsung is now selling the 98-inch Class Crystal UHD DU9000 TV in the US. This is the latest TV of this size to join the brand's line-up, following the Neo QLED 8K QN990C, the Neo QLED 4K QN90D, and the QLED 4K Q80C.

The Crystal UHD DU9000 has a 97.5-inch panel with a full 4K (3,840 x 2,160 px) resolution and a native 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Crystal Processor 4K, a Supersize Picture Enhancer tool helps to sharpen and remove noise from the larger image, and Samsung claims its PurColor technology delivers a wide color gamut for an accurate picture. Other features include 4K upscaling and HDR10+ compatibility; one notable absence is Dolby Vision, though this is the case with other Samsung models. There are features for gamers like VRR, Game Bar Mini Map Zoom, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium. Plus, the smart TV has a built-in 20W 2-channel sound system, and you can connect further external speakers via HDMI eARC.

You can now buy the Samsung 98-inch Class Crystal UHD DU9000 TV in the US for $3,999.99. This makes it significantly cheaper than the 98-inch QLED 4K QN90D Series TV, also in the 2024 range, which retails for $14,999.99. It is also less expensive than the 2023 98-inch Class QLED 4K Q80C model, priced at $4,999.99. Whether or not the company plans to launch its latest model in other markets remains to be seen.
