Samsung 98-in Class QLED 4K Q80C TV now available
The Samsung 98-in Class QLED 4K Q80C TV has launched in Europe. A pre-order campaign for the new larger model began earlier this year in the US, the UK and the EU. You can now buy the 98-in Q80C TV in the UK for £6,499, with gifts including a free Q600C Q-Series Cinematic Soundbar with Subwoofer, a wall bracket and six months of Disney+. You can also buy the new model in EU countries, such as the Netherlands, for €7,999, with the same free soundbar offer.
The Q80C uses Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor with 4K upscaling and an AI picture enhancer to optimize content for the larger display. The screen features Quantum Dot technology and is validated by Pantone, supporting HDR10+. Plus, you can use EyeComfort Mode to adjust the brightness based on the time of day automatically. The smart TV is powered by Tizen, allowing you to stream content from apps like Disney+ and Netflix. Audio features include Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Lite and Q-Symphony to ensure the sound is balanced across internal and external speakers.
For gaming, you have the Samsung Gaming Hub, FreeSync Premium Pro and Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ for a 4K@120Hz resolution. Thanks to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the TV can act as a smart home hub, allowing you to control devices with Amazon Alexa and Bixby voice commands. The 98-in model is also available to pre-order in the US, shipping from August 11.
