The Xiaomi Multi-function Camping Lantern has appeared on the brand’s global website. The new product page suggests that the company plans to sell the device in markets worldwide, such as the EU. The gadget launched in China earlier this year via a crowdfunding campaign.
The Multi-function Camping Lantern is a two-in-one device with a larger lamp and compact tubular light which can nestle inside. Thanks to a built-in hook, you can hang the smaller light or combined lamp, and the detachable gadget can be used as a flashlight. Bluetooth allows you to remotely control the light via an app, adjusting settings like color. NiteCore Extreme lets you adjust the color temperature and brightness between 6 and 230 lumens.
The Xiaomi light is rechargeable via USB-C, with a full charge of the 4,800 mAh lithium-ion battery taking around 210 minutes; it is unclear how long the light lasts between charges. The gadget is rated as IP54 dust and water-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use. The relatively compact device measures 198 × 114 × 123 mm (~7.8 x 4.5 x 4.8-in). It remains unclear where Xiaomi will launch the Multi-function Camping Lantern, when it will arrive or how much it will cost. For context, the light retails for 249 yuan (~US$35) in China.
