The Hisense PX2-Pro is a new DLP and ultra-short throw projector that can create up to 130-inch images in 4K at 2,400 ANSI lumens. The projector also has 30 W built-in speakers that support Dolby Audio, among other features.

Hisense has now opened pre-orders for the PX2-Pro, a laser TV that it debuted at CES 2023 in January. To recap, the PX2-Pro is a DLP projector that can create between 90-inch to 130-inch images in 4K (3,840 x 2,160). According to Hisense, the projector also has a 0.25:1 throw ratio, meaning that it can cast a 120-inch projection when placed approximately 69 cm from a projection surface.

At the heart of the PX2-Pro sits Hisense's TriChroma laser engine, a triple laser array that the company rates for up to 25,000 hours of usage. Reportedly, these three lasers allow the projector to output at 2,400 ANSI lumens while covering 107% of the BT.2020 colour space. Incidentally, the PX2-Pro supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content, as well as Dolby Atmos through its 30 W speakers.

Hisense adds that the projector's Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) ensures low latency when gaming over, although this remains 34.1 ms regardless of whether you are playing in 1080p or 4K. Currently, the PX2-Pro is available to pre-order in Europe and the UK for €2,999 and £2,499, respectively. By contrast, various retailers charge between US$2,997.97 and US$2,999.99 for the same projector in the US.
