Xiaomi Mijia Split Camping Light has just arrived
The Xiaomi Mijia Split Camping Light has been launched in China. The product has two parts, a flashlight which fits inside a larger lantern-style lamp. The smaller gadget locks in place, allowing you to move the device as one. Both lights have stepless dimming and color temperature, and the ability to emit colored light. The flashlight has a hook at one end, allowing you to suspend this or the whole lamp, should you wish. The smaller device also contains a side lighting panel.
You can control the lights via the Mijia app, thanks to a Bluetooth 5.0 connection. Alternatively, you can adjust the lighting with Xiao AI voice commands. The larger gadget also has buttons and a dial, allowing you to customize the lighting manually. The main light has a 4,800 mAh lithium-ion battery, allowing the gadget to run for up to 100 hours. You can fully recharge the device via USB-C in 210 minutes. The flashlight has a smaller 800 mAh battery, fully charging in around 150 minutes.
When fitted together, the light measures 198 x 114 x 123 mm (~7.8 x 4.5 x 4.8-in) and weighs 565 g (~19.9 oz). You can support the crowdfunding campaign at Youpin, pledging 199 yuan (~US$29) for the Xiaomi Mijia Splt Camping Light. According to the product page, the gadget will eventually retail for 249 yuan (~US$36). The light is due to ship in March; it is unclear whether or when the product could launch in other markets.
