Honor, while busy refreshing its flagship smartphone lineup, has also introduced a new pair of AR glasses. Dubbed the Movie Glasses, Honor claims that they can create the largest simulated display of any AR glasses to date. Specifically, the Movie Glasses can give the impression of a 201-inch display viewed at a distance of roughly 6 metres away with 49 pixels per degree (PPD).
Alternatively, the glasses can display a 130-inch Smart TV from a distance of 4 metres. At the heart of the Movie Glasses are a pair of micro-OLED panels that operate at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels per eye. Additionally, the glasses peak at 500 nits and cover 108% of the sRGB colour space while also delivering a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Moreover, Honor has incorporated 360-degree speakers and two microphone arrays that it claims combine to create a virtual surround sound effect for an immersive viewing experience. The Movie Glasses must be connected to a compatible smartphone via a USB Type-C cable though; they cannot operate wirelessly. For reference, the USB port must support at least 5 W of Power Delivery and the USB 3.0 standard.
Furthermore, the Movie Glasses support head tracking via motion sensors and can multitask with several apps shown on the display at once. Honor has not commented on whether the Movie Glasses will be available outside China yet. However, the AR glasses retail for CNY 2,499 (~US$361) in China.
