MagyarTUO Smart Button with Matter and Thread unveiled by new brand
The TUO Smart Button is now available, the first product from the new smart home brand. The Matter-certified device is also Thread enabled; support for these protocols allows you to integrate the gadget with various smart home systems, including Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa Smart Home.
The Smart Button allows you to control smart devices, such as a light, thermostat or speaker system, with a physical button. Several gestures, like click, double-click and long press, can trigger different events. The gadget could be helpful when you have guests who do not have access to your smart home devices via an app. A chipset from IoT specialist Nordic Semiconductors powers the TUO gadget.
You can customize the white button with accompanying stickers to remind you which device it controls. The product also comes with a magnetic wall mounting plate and CR2032 battery. You can buy the TUO Smart Button for US$34.99/£28/€32.95; the gadget ships from the US, so shipping fees and import taxes should be considered. The TUO Accessories website also lists a Contact Sensor with Matter Support and Smart Lock with Apple Home Key, which can be pre-ordered. The devices are due to ship this July and September, respectively.
