The Xiaomi TV EA32 and EA43 2023 models are now available in China. There are several upgrades compared to the older model; for example, the 2023 edition features dual-band Wi-Fi, though it appears to now lack Bluetooth. DTS 2.0 audio decoding has been upgraded to DTS HD, and hybrid dimming technology has been added to reduce flicker. Plus, the dual-core 64-bit processor has been swapped for a quad-core 64-bit unit.
A few design tweaks have been made to the 2023 EA32 and EA43, with a new stand and a 96.7% screen-to-body ratio. The 32-in model has a 1,366 x 768 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a direct backlight. Ports on the device include HDMI ARC and USB, allowing you to connect gadgets like a games console or TV streaming sticks. The 43-in model has a 1,290 x 1,080 px resolution and the same 60Hz refresh rate. This model adds an extra HDMI port and S/PDIF.
Both models feature Xiaomi’s image optimization algorithm and run on MIUI TV3.0 with smart home controls. The TVs have two built-in 8W speakers and 1+8GB storage. You can now buy the Xiaomi TV EA32 2023 for the discounted price of 599 yuan (~US$83); the gadget will typically retail for 899 yuan (~US$124). The Xiaomi TV EA43 2023 is also discounted, currently selling for 849 yuan (~US$117) with a 1,399 yuan (~US$193) RRP. The older model is unavailable in markets like the US and EU, casting doubt on whether this 2023 version will arrive there.
