The Epson EpiqVision LS800 projector has won a 2023 iF Design Award. The super-ultra-short-throw device can cast images up to 150-in (~381 cm) wide with a 3LCD light source producing up to 4,000 lumens brightness. The projector runs on Android TV, allowing you to control the gadget with Google Assistant voice commands.

The Epson EH-LS800B and EH-LS800W super-ultra-short-throw projectors have won an iF Design Award 2023. The company says the projector has been designed to “blend naturally into a living room”, featuring textural lines and a metallic finish to mimic a regular piece of furniture. Launched last year, the 4K PRO-UHD projector can throw an 80-in (~203 cm) image when the gadget is placed 2.5 cm (~1-in) from the wall.

The maximum recommended image size for the Epson EpiqVision LS800 is 150-in (~381 cm), and a 3LCD laser light source provides up to 4,000 lumens brightness. The device has a 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio and a built-in 2.1 channel Yamaha speaker system. Yamaha’s FR-Port, DSP, and AudioEngine technologies also provide an enhanced audio experience. You can perfect the image with auto-correction tools, and the Epson Setting Assistant app can help you set up the device quickly. The projector runs on Android TV, allowing you to stream content from services like Amazon Prime and YouTube.

You can download apps to the Epson projector from the Google Play store and cast content to the gadget from a mobile device using Google Chromecast. Plus, you can control the Epson product using Google Assistant voice commands. With a 20ms input lag, you could also use the projector for gaming. You can currently buy the Epson EH-LS800B and EH-LS800W super-ultra-short-throw projectors for the discounted price of US$2,999.99; the gadgets typically retail for US$3,499.99. Several Epson printer models, including the TM-P20II mobile receipt printer, have also won 2023 iF Design Awards.
