Toshiba TV X9900L OLED touted to deliver an upgraded home theater experience
Toshiba asserts that it has set "new standards for home entertainment systems" with its new X9900L TV. The OEM has developed REGZA Engine OLED technology to control the new panel's lighting pixel by pixel, thereby "providing unparalleled contrast and color accuracy".
The X9900L also integrates its own REGZA 3.1.2 surround sound system for "an immersive sonic experience" regardless of whether it is being used for movies, music playback or gaming. It may also build on its potential for image depth, detail and quality with Tru Color mapping.
This new foray into big-screen OLED has been the subject of Toshiba's recent #theMemories social media campaign that, despite its modern-day upgrade, consisted of "a series of 90s-themed quizzes". It has now drawn to an end with the X9900L's launch; nevertheless, the OEM is holding back on information such as pricing and SKU sizes until the new potential home theater hub's release.
