Samsung Odyssey OLED G9: Pre-orders officially open for 49-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor
Samsung has now opened pre-orders for the Odyssey OLED G9, which the company also refers to by its G95SC model number. Officially, there had been word on how much the gaming monitor would cost, nor when it would be available. However, Digitec Galaxus appeared to reveal European pricing last week, which it set at €2,449.
By contrast, the Odyssey OLED G9 retails for US$2,199.99 before taxes. Please note that Samsung is offering a US$250 gift card against future purchases for those who pre-order the gaming monitor before 11:59 EST on June 25. Seemingly, Odyssey OLED G9 pre-orders will start shipping on June 26, although it remains to be seen when the gaming monitor will be available in other markets.
For reference, the Odyssey OLED G9 relies on a QD-OLED panel that measures 49-inches across. Additionally, the monitor has a 32:9 aspect ratio, an 1800R curvature and a 5,120 x 1,440-pixel native resolution. Moreover, the Odyssey OLED G9 has a 240 Hz refresh rate, 0.03 ms GtG response times, VESA Adaptive Sync and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Samsung equips the monitor with 5 W stereo speakers and the following ports too:
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x micro-HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB 3.0 Type-A (downstream)
- 1x USB Type-B (upstream)
