Digitec Galaxus has revealed pricing and an approximate release date for the Odyssey OLED G9, Samsung's latest ultra-wide-angle gaming monitor. Incidentally, only a few days have passed since Samsung shared more details about the monitor, which carries the model number LS49CG954SU in Europe. For reference, Samsung has assigned LS49CG954SNXZA as a North American model number, plus LS49CG954SCXXF and LS49CG954SCXZW in China and other Southeast Asian countries.
According to the retailer's Austrian website, Samsung will release the Odyssey OLED G9 between the middle and end of September. Specifically, the retailer cites September 14 and September 28 as the earliest and latest dates by which the Odssey OLED G9 should be available, respectively. Nonetheless, the gaming monitor is already orderable through Galaxus.
Galaxus has also confirmed that the Odyssey OLED G9 will retail for €2,449, including taxes. In comparison, Samsung charges €2,049 for the Odyssey Neo G9, a similar gaming monitor that offers Mini-LED backlights rather than a QD-OLED panel. To recap, the Odyssey OLED G9 outputs at 5,120 x 1,440 pixels with a 1,800R curvature and a 32:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, the monitor has a 240 Hz refresh rate, 0.03 ms response times and several ports, such as HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4. Please see Samsung's website for more details.
