Computex 2023 | ASRock PG32UMF: New gaming monitor showcased with 4K, 144 Hz and 1,400 nit visuals
ASRock has shed light on the PG32UMF, a forthcoming gaming monitor. Showcased at Computex 2023 alongside the PG558KF, the PG32UMF relies on a 31.5-inch IPS panel with a flat finish. According to ASRock, the panel resolves natively at 4K (3,840 x 2,160) with 600 nits typical peak brightness. However, the monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certified, meaning that it should be capable of hitting 1,400 nits in some scenarios.
These high brightness values are possible because of Mini-LED backlights, of which there are 1,152 local dimming zones. Additionally, VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification ensures that the PG32UMF also has excellent colour accuracy, with 97% DCI-P3 colour space coverage mentioned in ASRock's product overview. Moreover, the PG32UMF offers a 144 Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC to provide a smooth gaming experience.
In a similar vein, ASRock mentions 1 ms MPRT response times. The PG32UMF possesses DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C and USB Type-A ports too, with four of the latter. While ASRock has confirmed that the monitor's USB Type-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and 90 W Power Delivery, it has not revealed whether its HDMI 2.1 port is TMDS or FRL capable. The company has not disclosed pricing or availability yet, either.
