Two new LG UltraGear gaming monitors previewed with HDMI 2.1 ports and 144 Hz refresh rates
LG has expanded its UltraGear gaming monitor series with two new models, the UltraGear 27GR93U and UltraGear 32GR93U. As their names suggest, they are the same monitor in two different sizes. Specifically, the LG UltraGear 27GR93U has a 27-inch panel, whereas the UltraGear 32GR93U spans 31.5 inches across.
According to LG, both monitors operate natively at 4K (3,840 x 2,160) with 16:9 aspect ratios and 144 Hz refresh rates. Additionally, the IPS panels have flat finishes, 1 ms GtG response times and peak at 500 nits. LG claims that the panels are also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and provide 1,000:1 contrast ratios. Moreover, they both offer 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, software calibration using LG Calibration Studio and 10-bit colour depth (8-bit + FRC).
Elsewhere, the UltraGear 27GR93U and UltraGear 32GR93U will be available with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC support, along with one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB 3.0 hub. Furthermore, both monitors have adjustable stands and VESA 100 x 100 mm mounts should you have a third-party stand in mind. Currently, LG has listed the UltraGear 27GR93U and UltraGear 32GR93U on its UK website, but without prices or any details about availability, although Prad.de believes that the pair will arrive in September 2023.
