LG US has just augmented its UltraGear series of gaming monitors with new variants, two of which have 27-inch screens and one of which is 32 inches. Of those, the 27GR83Q-B has a 240Hz refresh rate, whereas the 27GR93Q-B and 32GR83Q-B are 144Hz. Nevertheless, all three are touted as "battlefield centerpieces" with AMD FreeSync Premium, 1ms latencies and offers of 30% off their RRPs with free fast shipping for a limited time.
The UltraGear 27GR83Q-B is backed to "get your gaming gear up to speed" as the latest 240Hz monitor on LG's US web-store, joined by its new 27GR93Q-B alternative and its larger 32GR93Q-B sibling. Those 144Hz models are UHD compared to the QHD of the faster variant, although all 3 are IPS with 1 millisecond gray-to-gray (1ms GtG) response times and NVIDIA G-SYNC as well as AMD FreeSync Premium out of the box.
The trio of UltraGear monitors are thus firmly focused on "a premium gaming experience", falling just short of 100% versatility with 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and the DisplayHDR 400 standard. Nevertheless, they all also boast HDMI 2.1 inputs and "4-Pole Headphone out with DTS HP:X".
The 27GR93Q-B and 32GR93Q-B are now listed on Amazon at their full recommended prices of US$699.99 and US$799.99 respectively - however, they have also debuted on LG.com for US$489.99 and US$559.99 respectively.
However, the 27GR83Q-B is touted as having the best of these deals, at US$349.99 rather than US$499.99 (even though it is somehow US$559.84 on Amazon right now). LG's early-bird offers only last until tomorrow (August 27, 2023), however.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
