LG has opened pre-orders for the UltraGear 49GR85DC-B, roughly a week after announcing the gaming monitor. To recap, the UltraGear 49GR85DC-B has a 49-inch VA panel that outputs at 5,120 x 1,440 pixels with a 240 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the monitor is DisplayHDR 1000 certified, has 1 ms response times (GtG) and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Please see our launch article for more details.
The UltraGear 49GR85DC-B is available to pre-order for US$1,299.99. In comparison, the UltraGear 48GQ900 retails for US$1,499.99, while the UltraGear 45GR95QE-B costs US$1,699.99. Arguably, the most comparable monitor is the UltraGear 38GL950G-B, which LG sold for US$1,799.99.
According to LG's website, shipments will begin on April 3. The company has not confirmed when the monitor will be available in other markets, but it can take up to a few months for LG to release new gaming monitors in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
