Philips has now started selling the 45B1U6900C, approximately six weeks after the company introduced the ultra-wide monitor. While the 45B1U6900C debuted alongside the 45B1U6900CH, Philips has only started selling the former so far. The latter's inclusion of a built-in webcam implies that it will be more expensive than the 45B1U6900C, though.
Regardless, the 6000 series monitor has a 44.5-inch VA panel with a 5,120 x 1,440-pixel native resolution, a 32:9 aspect ratio and a 75 Hz refresh rate. Philips adds that the 45B1U6900C delivers 450 nits peak brightness and 107% DCI-P3 colour space coverage across its 1500R panel, as well as 4 ms response times (GtG), VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and several ports. Specifically, Philips has equipped the 45B1U6900C with the following I/O:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x Gigabit LAN
- 2x HDMI 2.0
- 1x KVM switches
- 4x USB 3.2 Type-A
- 1x USB Type-B
- 2x USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode/100 W Power Delivery)
The Philips 45B1U6900C is orderable now for £939.99 in the UK. Conversely, the same monitor retails €1,089 in the Eurozone. For some reason, Philips has not confirmed 45B1U6900CH pricing or availability yet. Please see Philips' website for more details.
