New Casarte E68 Mini-LED TV with 240Hz refresh rate unveiled
The Haier Casarte E68 QD Mini-LED 4K TV has been unveiled in China via a JD.com product listing. The new product was also shown at the 2023 China Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics Expo (AWE). The device is available in 75-in and 85-in models, with an eye-friendly anti-glare screen and a screen-to-body ratio of over 97%.
The E68's QD Mini-LED display provides a detailed image with high contrast and rich colors, covering 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen has a 240Hz refresh rate with MEMC, VRR and ALLM. According to the product listing, the new Casarte TV supports HDR and has a typical brightness of 300 to 500 nits, though other reports suggest the maximum is over 1,000 nits. Plus, you can control the TV and other linked smart home gadgets using voice commands. A built-in sound system with six main elements, two tweeters and four subwoofers, supports 5.1 surround sound and Yamaha's YPAO sound field positioning technology.
The device runs on Android with a Casarte C6 smart chip and 4GB + 128GB memory. The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi, and ports on the device include HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0 and USB. Listings on JD.com suggest that the 75-in and 85-in models of the Haier Casarte E68 4K TV will retail for 15,000 and 20,000 yuan (~US$2,168 and US$2,891), respectively. It is unclear when the products will launch in China and whether or not these devices could also arrive in other markets.
