LG UltraGear 25GR75FG: New gaming monitor launches with fast-paced 360 Hz visuals
LG has finally started offering the UltraGear 25GR75FG, nearly five months after previewing the gaming monitor. As we discussed at the time, the UltraGear 25GR75FG relies on a 24.5-inch IPS panel that outputs at 1080p and 360 Hz. Additionally, the monitor peaks at 400 nits, for which it has received VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. For reference, this certification also means that the UltraGear 25GR75FG has an 8-bit colour depth, not 10-bit.
Accordingly, the UltraGear 25GR75FG has a relatively low colour space coverage of 97% sRGB. Moreover, the monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC to minimise image tearing and has 1 ms response times to keep latency low. Please note that only the monitor's DisplayPort 1.4 connection supports 1080p and 360 Hz gaming. In comparison, its HDMI 2.0 ports peak at 1080p and 240 Hz.
Separately, the UltraGear 25GR75FG possesses two USB 3.0 Type-A downstream ports, one USB 3.0 Type-A upstream port and a 3.5 mm jack, but no built-in speakers. Currently, LG has only brought the UltraGear 25GR75FG to Europe, where it sells for €649. As far as we can tell, LG is ready to ship UltraGear 25GR75FG orders too, with a 3-5 working day lead time mentioned on its German website.
