AOKZOE A2: New and compact gaming handheld 'launching soon' with AMD Ryzen 7 7840U
AOKZOE has turned its attention to the A2, the smaller alternative to the A1 Pro. To recap, the company began teasing the pair simultaneously in April before launching the A1 Pro last month. Now, it has announced that the AOKZOE A2 is 'launching soon', albeit without revealing a precise date. Instead, it has updated the gaming handheld's Indiegogo preview campaign with new details.
As expected, the AOKZOE A2 will rely on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, a 4 nm APU with an octa-core CPU clocked at 5.1 GHz and based on the Zen 4 architecture. AMD pairs the powerful CPU cores with the Radeon 780M, a 12 Compute Unit (CU) part that utilises the RDNA 3 architecture. Incidentally, the Ryzen 7 7840U is available in the AOKZOE A1 Pro, AYA NEO 2S, AYA NEO GEEK 1S, GPD Win Max 2 2023 and ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro, along with the ASUS ROG Ally as the Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
In other words, the AOKZOE A2 will join an already crowded market. However, it may well be one of the smallest Ryzen 7 7840U-powered gaming handhelds to date. So far, AOKZOE has confirmed that it will sell the A2 with 800p and 1200p display options, both 7-inch IPS panels. Other features remain unknown for now, although the AOZKOE A2 bears more than a passing resemblance to the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro from its parent company One-netbook.
