Minisforum Neptune HN2673 mini PC with Intel i7-12650H CPU and Arc A730M dGPU now up for pre-orders

The freshly announced HN2673 mini PC from the Neptune series is Minisforum’s first model to feature an Intel discrete GPU. Given the relatively small case that appears to be the same 8.2 x 2.6 x 7.1 inches one from the NAD9 model, Minisforum could only fit an Arc A730M laptop-grade dGPU with 6 GB of VRAM. Nevertheless, this solution should be able to handle most current games in 1080p, as its performance falls mostly between that of the RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3060 laptop dGPUs.

In order to efficiently dissipate the heat from the 95 W dGPU, the HN2673 comes with a new cooling solution integrating four quiet fans, which can produce a maximum of 34 dB in full load. The processor at the heart of this new mini PC is the i7-12650H with 6 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, 45 W TDP, 24 MB L3 cache and up to 4.7 GHz boost clocks.

Users can add up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, up to 2 TB of NVMe SSD storage and there is also support for 2x 2.5-inch SATA 3 drives. Port selection includes 3x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (2x have DP mode), 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 2x HDMI 2.0b video outputs, mic and headphone jacks plus a 2.5 GbE jack. Wireless connectivity is provided through a Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.3 card.

US pre-orders start at $649 for the 16 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD configuration, while EU pre-orders start at €759. However, the HN2673 is expected to ship in late June for the EU pre-orders, whereas the US pre-orders will have to wait until late July.
