One-netbook has revealed the ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro, the third version of the ONEXPLAYER 2, after it released AMD Ryzen 7 6800U and Intel Core i7-1370P versions. Now, the company has brought the Ryzen 7 7840U to the ONEXPLAYER 2 platform, which brings Zen 4 cores and the RDNA 3 architecture via the Radeon 780M.

One-netbook has announced another refresh of the ONEXPLAYER 2, which it initially offered with the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U. Since then, the company has presented an Intel Core i7-1370P edition, a Raptor Lake-P part that offers 20% better CPU performance than the Ryzen 7 6800U. However, the Iris Xe Graphics G7 and its 96 Execution Units (EUs) fall far short of the Radeon 680M that AMD integrates in the Ryzen 7 6800U.

Now, One-netbook has showcased the ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro donned in a Neon Genesis Evangelion livery. Dubbed the ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro EVA, the device is another anime tie-in and follows in the footsteps of the ONEXPLAYER Mini Pro Gundam special edition. Seemingly, the ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro EVA is another limited edition model. If the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro is anything to go by, then the ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro will also eventually receive a general release.

While the ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro retains the overall design of the regular model, including its detachable controllers, One-netbook has swapped the Ryzen 7 6800U and Core i7-1370P for the Ryzen 7 7840U, an RDNA 3 and Zen 4-based APU. For reference, the Ryzen 7 7840U has eight CPU cores with 5.1 GHz boost clocks and the Radeon 780M, a 12 Compute Unit (CU) iGPU that enjoys a lead over the Radeon 680M while being more power efficient. The Ryzen 7 7840U is no stranger to gaming handhelds, with the AOKZOE A1 Pro, ASUS ROG Ally, AYA NEO 2S and AYA NEO GEEK 1S all employing AMD's powerful APU. According to Minixpc, the ONEXPLAYER 2 Pro will be available with up to 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage; One-netbook has not announced pricing for the EVA edition yet, though.
