LG has introduced the UltraGear 25GR75FG, a 24.5-inch IPS gaming monitor that will be the official display of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 2023. LG claims to have created the UltraGear 25GR75FG based on feedback from Esports athletes, albeit without clarifying what feedback it has taken on board. While LG has designed the UltraGear 25GR75FG for Esports gaming, it will eventually release the monitor to consumers.
According to the company's press release, the UltraGear 25GR75FG operates natively at 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1 ms GtG response times. LG adds that the monitor offers 97% sRGB colour space coverage and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Although LG has not confirmed brightness specifications itself, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification means that the UltraGear 25GR75FG must offer at least 400 nits peak luminance and true 8-bit image quality, among other conditions.
The UltraGear 25GR75FG also has a 360 Hz refresh rate, which LG describes as one of the monitor's selling points. LG has included NVIDIA G-SYNC with Reflex support too, as well as an adjustable stand that can be swivelled, tilted, moved up by 110 mm and pivoted clockwise. Additionally, the UltraGear 25GR75FG is compatible with VESA 100 x 100 mm wall mounts and the following ports:
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.0
- 1x H/P out
- 1x USB 3.0 Type-B Upstream
- 2x USB 3.0 Type-A Downstream
LG has not announced UltraGear 25GR75FG pricing yet or availability outside Europe. Currently, the company hopes to start selling the monitor in Germany from April and will debut the monitor this weekend during the new LEC season.
