Amazon US has reduced the HP X27q, a 27-inch IPS gaming monitor with a 2.5K native resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate. Currently available at a 30% discount, the HP X27q also offers 400 nits peak brightness, an adjustable stand and a choice of DisplayPort or HDMI ports.

Amazon US has cut nearly a third off the HP X27q, a 27-inch gaming monitor that HP launched in 2021. Not to be confused with the X27 or X27qc, the HP X27q relies on an IPS panel that peaks at 400 nits with HDR 400 compatibility. As its name suggests, the gaming monitor also operates natively at QHD, also known as 2.5K or 1440p, in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, the HP X27q has a 165 Hz refresh rate, plus 1 ms GtG response times with overdrive enabled.

Moreover, the monitor contains single DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports, plus a 3.5 mm audio jack and a VESA 100 x 100 mm mount. While the monitor lacks a dedicated webcam or USB hub, it features a height, pivot and tilt adjustable stand, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium support to minimise image tearing when gaming. HP claims that the X27q covers 99% of the sRGB colour space too; the company has not shared other colour space coverages, though.

Currently, Amazon US if offering the HP X27q at a 30% discount, reducing the monitor from US$299.99 to US$209.99 in a US$90 saving. As always, the retailer has not shared when the promotion ends or if there are any purchase restrictions, such as one unit per order. Even greater discounts can be had through the Amazon Warehouse program too, with one model available for under US$200. Please be aware that these are for open-box or used rather than new models.
