The MSI G321Q is one of the company's latest gaming monitors. Revealed alongside the MAG321QR-QD, the MSI G321Q has a 32-inch IPS display, a 1080p native resolution and a 170 Hz refresh rate, among other features.

The G321Q is another 31.5-inch gaming monitor sold by MSI, with the company also recently announcing the MAG321QR-QD. Seemingly, the former is a cheaper version of the latter, although MSI has not announced pricing for either monitor yet. Regardless, the MSI G321Q has a flat IPS panel that operates at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (WQHD) and 170 Hz when overclocked.

The MSI G321Q lacks the HDR certification of the MAG321QR-QD, though. Instead, MSI insists that the former is 'HDR Ready'. The MSI G321Q offers 300 nits peak SDR brightness too, compared to 350 nits with the MAG321QR-QD or 400 nits when viewing HDR content. Additionally, the MSI G321Q has a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, 1 ms MPRT response times and 93% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. The MSI G321Q is also NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, another similarity it shares with the MAG321QR-QD.

MSI has scaled back the G321Q in other areas too, though. On the one hand, the MSI G321Q has no USB ports, with two HDMI 2.0b ports and a DisplayPort 1.2a connection its sole I/O. On the other hand, the monitor will ship with a fixed stand, unlike the MAG321QR-QD. The MSI G321Q can be tilted -5° to +20°, but no swivel or height adjustment is a rather limiting factor for a gaming monitor. Thankfully, MSI has included 100 x 100 mm VESA mount holes for a third-party stand. Please see MSI's website for more details and from where to buy the MSI G321Q.
