Beats Studio Pro to launch as much cheaper alternative to Apple AirPods Max
Leaker @billbil_kun has shared new details about the Beats Studio Pro, the apparent successor to the Beats Studio 3. First seen last month courtesy of @aaronp613 and 9to5Mac, the Beats Studio Pro was mentioned in the same breath as the Studio Buds Plus, which debuted over a month ago. For reference, materials for the unreleased over-ear headphones were present in the iOS 16.5 Release Candidate.
According to @billbil_kun, Apple will launch the Beats Studio Pro for €399.99 in the Eurozone, price-matching the Beats Studio 3. In short, that pricing would make the Beats Studio Pro €50 more expensive than the WH-1000XM5. However, it would also see the headphones undercut the AirPods Max by €230. The leaker adds that Apple will sell the Beats Studio Pro in beige, black, dark brown, navy and beige colour options.
While a release date remains unknown for now, 9to5Mac revealed various specifications about the headphones last month. For example, the Beats Studio Pro is expected to support ANC, Spatial Audio and a transparency mode. Additionally, although the design remains broadly unchanged between the Studio 3 and Studio Pro, Apple has replaced the former's MicroUSB port with a more modern USB Type-C connection. The headphones should offer full compatibility with Android devices too, courtesy of the Beats app.
