MagyarSony launches flagship BRAVIA 9 Mini LED TV as brightest 4K model
Sony has revealed its 2024 TV line-up, which includes the flagship BRAVIA 9 Mini LED TV. The model is offered in three sizes in the US, 65”, 75” and 85”, but only the larger two are available in Europe. According to the company, this is its brightest 4K TV yet, 50% brighter than the 2023 X95L, though it does not give an exact value.
The BRAVIA 9’s Mini LED backlight works with the new XR Backlight Master Drive technology, also seen in the BRAVIA 7. Plus, the X-Wide Angle and X-Anti Reflection tools help to reduce glare, a feature only seen on the BRAVIA 9 in the 2024 range. Powered by the XR Processor, the Google TV lets you stream content from popular apps and offers Google Assistant voice controls. You can also use Chromecast or Apple AirPlay2 2 to share content from your phone wirelessly. With a built-in 2.2.2-channel sound system, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio technologies are supported alongside IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision for video. Gaming features include the PS5 exclusive Auto HDR Tone Mapping and new Source-based Tone Mapping (SBTM).
Pricing for the Sony BRAVIA 9 Mini LED QLED 4K HDR Google TV starts from $3,299.99/CA$3,999.99/€4,399.00/£4,499.00. While the US and Canadian release dates have yet to be confirmed, customers in the Netherlands and the UK can now pre-order the model due to ship on June 10th.
