As Sony’s premier OLED TV, the Bravia 8 II employs a QD-OLED panel for more vibrant colors. Although not as bright as LG and Samsung flagships, intelligent picture processing gives it an edge. At Greentoe, the 65-inch model is cheaper than the lowest Amazon sale price to date.

While it’s not Sony's flagship, the Bravia 8 II remains the company’s best OLED TV. For movie buffs who seek deep blacks and an authentic cinema experience, its QD-OLED panel is a notch above the Bravia 9 II. During a Greentoe sale, the 65-inch version is $2149, beating Amazon’s historically low price.

Amazon is simultaneously discounting the 65-inch Bravia 8 II, but the final price is $2498. Greentoe’s deal also tops the retailer's $2198 offer in December 2025.

Panel swap

The 77-inch Bravia 8 was recently on sale, a size option the premium model lacks. However, it uses WOLED rather than QD-OLED technology, which can affect picture quality. The Bravia 8 II delivers more precise, saturated colors without compromising contrast.

Although color accuracy is stellar, the OLED TV featured in this deal isn't as bright as the LG G6 and Samsung S95H. The Rtings review confirms that blacks can become grayish in rooms with large windows. Even so, the display thrives in many setups thanks to unusually wide viewing angles.

Are Bravia TVs overpriced?

Sony TVs are criticized for not being attractively priced. Regardless, beyond their solid track record for reliability, they have advantages in image processing. The XR Processor in the Bravia II sharpens lower-resolution games and movies and reduces artifacts.

Another benefit of this Sony contender is audio features missing from rivals. Acoustic Surface Audio+ places vibrating actuators behind the screen. Because of their position, dialogue sounds natural. The discounted OLED TV also embraces DTS:X, unlike the Samsung S95H.

The low-latency performance of the 65-inch Bravia II should satisfy the most demanding gamers. It offers up to a 120 Hz refresh rate for frantic first-person shooters. That said, multi-console setups have to contend with only two of the four HDMI ports meeting the 2.1 spec.

At Greentoe's $2149 price, the Bravia II faces intense, often brighter, competition from LG and Samsung. Still, the Sony OLED TV stands out with effective upscaling and strong support for video and audio formats.
