Sony announces new OLED gaming monitor with a 720Hz refresh rate

Sony has expanded its Inzone lineup with a new wave of gaming gear, including the Inzone H6 Air headset. Alongside it, the company has also introduced the Inzone M10S II, a high-end gaming monitor designed in collaboration with Fnatic.
The Inzone M10S II focuses heavily on speed and responsiveness. It features a QHD OLED panel with a 540Hz refresh rate and a 0.02ms response time, thanks to which you can expect extremely smooth gameplay. The monitor also includes a Motion Blur Reduction system that reduces blur in fast-moving scenes without significantly lowering brightness. This is different from typical implementations, where reducing motion blur often results in a dimmer image.
Sony has also added a dual-mode feature, giving users more flexibility. You can use the monitor in its full 27-inch QHD mode at 540Hz, or switch to a smaller 24.5-inch display mode. In this mode, the refresh rate can go up to 720Hz at a lower resolution, which is useful for esports players who prefer smaller screens and higher frame rates.
There are also dedicated FPS display modes. One is tuned to replicate the look of traditional competitive LCD monitors, while another takes advantage of OLED technology to deliver better contrast and detail. Sony has included a “super anti-glare film” as well, which should help reduce reflections, especially in bright environments.
Unlike the rest of the new Inzone gear that is available to order starting today, the Inzone M10S II gaming monitor will be released later this year with a $1,099.99 price tag.
