Deal | UltraGear 39GX950B: LG's new 5K2K OLED gaming monitor scores $240 discount before release
LG only recently released the UltraGear OLED evo 39GX950B internationally. Announced in December 2025, the UltraGear 39GX950B will not begin shipping until early May. Nonetheless, Amazon has already heavily discounted the gaming monitor in the US.
To recap, the UltraGear 39GX950B outputs at 5,120 x 2,160 (5K2K) across its 39-inch panel. Additionally, the monitor offers a 165 Hz refresh rate, which it can double to 330 Hz by reducing its resolution to 2,560 x 1,080 pixels. The 1500R curved monitor contains DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C ports, as well as dual USB Type-A ports for good measure.
Moreover, the UltraGear 39GX950 delivers up to 335 nits in SDR mode with 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. According to LG, 1,500 nits is achievable in HDR mode in small areas (1.5% APL), too. The company also mentions that 600 nits should be possible in HDR mode across larger areas (10% APL), as well.
Currently, Amazon is offering LG's new 39-inch monitor for $1,558.07. A 13% discount, the UltraGear 39GX950B still costs $1,799 on LG US. According to Amazon, the UltraGear OLED evo 39GX950B will begin shipping between May 2 and May 8 in the US. Unfortunately, we cannot find any comparable deals for the same gaming monitor in other markets yet.
