Xiaomi releases new 4K and 27-inch gaming monitor with Mini LED local dimming zones

Earlier today, we reported that Xiaomi had begun selling a new 27-inch gaming monitor internationally. Backed by 1,152 Mini LED local dimming zones, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 is now available in Australia, Germany and Japan with a global launch to follow.
At the same time, Xiaomi has also released the Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U 2026 in China. To recap, the company introduced its original Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U almost a year ago. Equipped with a 4K/160 Hz IPS panel like last year's model, Xiaomi's 2026 edition can still switch to 1080p/330 Hz like the Asus ROG Strix XG27UCG before it (curr. $339 on Amazon).
Additionally, the Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U 2026 supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro with 1 ms GtG response times, 98% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and 1,600 nits peak brightness in HDR mode thanks to 1,152 Mini LED local dimming zones. Xiaomi pre-installs HyperOS 3 too, which it complements with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-A and 90 W USB Type-C ports.
The Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U 2026 retails for CNY 2,699 (~$395) in China. Xiaomi has not confirmed whether it plans to offer this monitor globally. The recent release of the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 potentially suggests otherwise, though.
