MPG 322UR X24: New 4K OLED gaming monitor receives first release before global launch

MSI unveiled two new 32-inch gaming monitors earlier this week. At the time, only the MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24 was available to purchase. Now, that has changed with the release of the MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 in China.
To recap, the MPG 322UR X24 surpasses the existing MPG 322URX in a few areas. For instance, MSI's new 32-inch monitor delivers 300 nits peak SDR brightness for a 25% uplift over the MPG 322URX. Peak HDR brightness remains at 1,000 nits though, presumably still at 3% APL.
The MPG 322UR X24 is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and ClearMR 13000 certified too, compared to DisplayHDR True Black 400 for the MPG 322URX. Additionally, MSI has added an AI Care Sensor and its OLED Care 3.0 technology to minimise OLED burn-in. Meanwhile, a 4K resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate return, along with 0.03 ms GtG response times and the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 2.1a (UHBR20)
- 2x HDMI 2.1 (4K/240 Hz)
- 2x USB Type-A (5 Gbps)
- 1x USB Type-B (5 Gbps)
- 1x USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode/98 W Power Delivery)
MSI has priced the MPG 322UR X24 at CNY 7,999 (~$1,170) in China. For context, the company initially charged CNY 8,499 (~$1,245) for the MPG 322URX. Hence, we suspect that the MPG 322UR X24 will reach other markets for slightly less than the MPG 322URX, which initially retailed for $1,199 in the US (curr. $999 on Amazon).
