It looks like Dell is preparing to present a new Alienware gaming monitor. Arriving in the wake of the AW3425DW's international release, the Alienware AW3926QW could well operate at 5K2K with a 165/330 Hz Dual Mode refresh rate and up to 1,500 nits peak brightness.

It seems that Dell is preparing to refresh its Alienware series with a new gaming monitor. For context, the company presented the Alienware AW2726DM earlier this month for $349. This time, it seems that Dell intends to return with a larger ultra-wide alternative.

Specifically, a recent TÜV Rheinland certification has revealed that Dell has developed a new Alienware monitor bearing the model number AW3926QW. Based on Alienware's naming scheme, the AW3926QW is a 39-inch monitor. In that sense, the AW3926QW will be significantly larger than the AW3425DW, which Dell launched globally just over a year ago.

At this stage, TÜV Rheinland has only revealed the gaming monitor's model number. However, the timing of this TÜV Rheinland certification suggests that the Alienware AW3926QW features the same WOLED panel as the UltraGear evo 39GX950B (curr. $1,799 on Amazon). If that is the case, then the AW3926QW will operate at a 5,120 x 2,160 (5K2K) resolution with a 165/330 Hz Dual Mode refresh rate and up to 1,500 nits peak brightness. Please see our UltraGear evo 39GX950B launch article for more details.
