Denki, a YouTuber who often takes a deep dive into interesting old game console tech, has found a rare Sony Bravia TV with PlayStation 2 integrated into its base. The YouTuber had to pay $700, but when it was released in 2010, this Bravia KDL22PX300 was available at around £200.

Back in the early 2000s and 2010s, Sony released a couple of interesting products that integrated its PlayStation consoles. For example, there's the PSX, which could function as a lot of different devices. It could work as a media box, set-top box, or DVR and play PlayStation 2 games.

Then, there's the PlayStation TV from 2013, which was basically a PS Vita without the screen. Another interesting product combination is the Bravia KDL22PX300, which YouTuber Denki has managed to score from eBay. It was released in the UK in 2010 at around £200 and resulted from a partnership between Sony and a retailer called Richer Sounds.

The store collaborated with Sony to combine two of the top-selling products of that time: PlayStation 2 and Bravia KDL22BX300 TV. For an entry-level gaming combo from 2010, it brought quite a number of quality-of-life additions. To illustrate, it has a generous number of inputs, including VGA, composite, four HDMI, and three USB ports.

Moreover, the Bravia KDL22PX300 has the ability to connect to the internet and access IPTV channels and YouTube. Given all these, about £200 made it a steal for someone looking for a gaming console and a TV. However, the system has become very rare, with some listings costing between $2,500 to $6,000. The YouTuber got lucky to find one of the cheapest options.

As for the PS2 that was built into the base of the TV, it's a full-fledged gaming console that can take DVDs, run PS1 games, and even has an ethernet port for network play. You can learn more about this interesting system by watching Denki's video attached below.
