Available for less than a year, the Sony Bravia 3 family has managed to gather 546 user ratings on Amazon so far. These reviews led to a reasonable rating of 4.2/5 stars, and combined with the recent price drops, this score and the set of exclusive features can only make these smart TVs quite tempting. Right now, there are no less than six sizes available on Amazon, ranging between 43 and 85 inches. However, the 50-inch model, labeled K-50S30, is probably the most tempting deal thanks to the all-time low price of $528.
According to the popular Amazon price tracker Camelcamelcamel, the Sony Bravia 3 (K-50S30) has recently dropped to the all-time low price of $528 once again. This happened for the first time in mid-December, but it got back to $599.99 a few times ever since. It should also be noted that the highest price this smart TV had on Amazon was $698, but not for long after launch. While other brands might offer better overall value, it should be highlighted that Sony's smart TVs use a custom multi-core image processor with the unique Bravia Engine that cannot be found in other brands, either.
The Sony Bravia 3 K-50S30 sports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision support. It also comes with Google TV, 10 W stereo speakers, a direct LED backlight with 60 Hz native refresh alongside 4K resolution. In addition to the low refresh rate, its list of weak areas also includes the lack of DTS audio. However, PlayStation gamers cannot overlook Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode, which are both exclusive to the Bravia lineup.
