MagyarSony's cheaper BRAVIA 3 LED 4K HDR Google TV now available
Sony has announced the BRAVIA 3 LED 4K HDR Google TV for North America. The cheaper TV comes in six sizes, from 43" to 85". It is the entry-level model in the brand's 2024 lineup, which also includes the flagship BRAVIA 9.
The BRAVIA 3 has a direct LED backlight with a 60Hz native refresh rate; this is lower than the 120Hz rate of the other 2024 models. The TV also features Triluminos Pro for realistic colors and supports HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. Running on the less powerful 4K HDR Processor X1, rather than the XR Processor found in the more expensive models, the model has Google TV for various apps via the Google Play Store, Chromecast and Google Assistant voice commands. Plus, the BRAVIA 3 has two built-in 10W speakers compatible with Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos, but not DTS audio.
The Sony BRAVIA 3 LED 4K HDR Google TV is now available to pre-order in the US, with prices ranging from $599.99/CA$7499.99 to $1,799.99/CA$2,499.99. While the model is listed as "Coming Soon" in Canada, shipping dates have been provided for the US, varying from late April to early May.
