The 75-inch Sony Bravia XR X90L is now on sale on eBay and can be had for less than $1,400 for a limited time. With features like Google Smart TV, Full-Array local dimming, 4K resolution, Nvidia G-Sync support, and HDMI 2.1, the Sony X90L is a mid-range TV that is suitable for both media watching and gaming.

If you want to save a considerable amount of money when shopping for a new 4K TV, mid-range TVs often provides a good balance between picture quality, features, and cost. One such TV is the Sony Bravia XR X90L.

Released in 2023, the Sony X90L ranges from a manageable 55-inch to a gigantic 98-inch in screen size, features a 4K VA panel with Full-Array local dimming, boasts the Cognitive Processor XR, and HDMI 2.1. The TV also has gaming features like VRR, low input lag, and short response times.

What’s more, all of these features now come at a relatively modest cost. Thanks to a sizeable 20% discount, you can currently buy the 75-inch Sony Bravia X90L for only $1,358.40 on eBay with the coupon code FALL20OFF. The code takes $339.6 off the $1,698 retail price.

Sony X90L scores high in reviews

As confirmed by RTINGS’ “Mixed Usage” rating of 8.1 and a 4.4-star user rating on Amazon, the Sony Bravia X90L seems like an excellent TV for the discounted price. The TV boasts deep blacks thanks to its high contrast, gets sufficiently bright in HDR/SDR, and has commendable color performance.

RTINGS’ measurements show that the Sony X90L has a native contrast of 4,751:1 that shoots to 42,222:1 with local dimming. The contrast is aided by 97% coverage of the DCI-P3 uv gamut and high brightness of 952 nits (Peak 25% Windows) in HDR and 905 nits (Peak 25% Windows) in SDR.

Additionally, the Sony X90L also does an impressive job of smoothing out low-quality and upscaling low-res content thanks to the Cognitive Processor XR. RTINGS notes that the upscaling preserves fine detail and the TV doesn’t go overboard with over-sharpening.

For gamers, Sony has packed the X90L with features such as 4K@120 Hz, Nvidia G-Sync support, low input lag, and a quick response time. RTINGS confirms these details, giving the TV an impressive rating of 8.4 for HDR Gaming.

Unfortunately, being a mid-range TV, the Sony X90L has a few glaring issues.

For starters, the VA panel doesn’t have good viewing angles. The Gray and Black Uniformity are also just ok and not great. The same is true for reflection handling. So, if these factors are important to you, you’ll be better served by a different TV.

For everyone else, the Sony X90L seems like a great buy at the currently reduced price.
