Priced at $1,800 in early June, the 85-inch Sony Bravia 3 LED 4K HDR smart TV dropped to $1,600 before July kicked in. At the end of August, the model K-85S30, which landed on Amazon in early May, took one step further down to $1,500. On September 30th, it fell to the all-time low of $1,398, a price still valid today.

Placed at the bottom of the Bravia family of smart TVs, the Sony Bravia 3 isn't exactly a cheap product in both features and pricing. However, the reviews that went online since the introduction of this year's refresh of this entry-level lineup manage to be quite confusing. While some praise it as an excellent budget choice, others claim that the Bravia 3 is certainly not worth buying. However, these reviews might need adjusting since the prices have been steadily dropping since spring. Particularly, the top-of-the-line 85-inch Sony Bravia 3 (K-85S30) went down from $1,800 in May to $1,398, the price for which those interested can currently get it, which is also Amazon's all-time low offering.

While the all-time low mentioned is only 13% lower than the current list price of $1,599, it should be taken into account that the K-85S30 model was selling for $1,800 in May-June. On Amazon, the general rating of the Sony Bravia 3 lineup is 4.1/5, with 64% perfect ratings out of a total of 239. The round-up of the Amazon users' feedback singles out functionality as a weak spot, while highlighting picture and build quality, as well as the speed of these TVs' smart features. Ease of setup, sound quality, value, and the remote control are the elements that get mixed opinions.

In addition to the 4K resolution and generous 85-inch display, the Sony Bravia 3 also sports Bluetooth, USB, HDMI, Ethernet and WiFi connectivity, support for Hey Google and Alexa, as well as the Sony Pictures Core app with movie credits included. Thanks to Google TV, the users can enjoy over 700,000 movies and TV episodes, more than 800 TV channels, and over 10,000 apps. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are both supported, and PlayStation 5-exclusive features such as Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode further increase the value provided by the Bravia 3 lineup (including the K-85S30 model, obviously).

The discounted K-85S30 ships from Amazon and gets free delivery and 30-day easy refund/return if needed. A 3-year protection plan can be acquired for $129.99, the 4-year plan goes for $169.99, and Asurion Complete Protect can be obtained for $16.99 a month.
