MagyarXiaomi launches new TV S85 Mini LED with 144Hz refresh rate and gaming features
The Xiaomi TV S85 Mini LED is now available to pre-order in China. The 85-in 4K model joins the 55-in, 65-in and 75-in versions which arrived at the end of March. The TV has up to 1,200 nits brightness, though the number of partitions in the Mini LED backlight has yet to be revealed by Xiaomi.
The S85’s display has a 144Hz native refresh rate, MEMC motion smoothing technology and 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. The TV has a Filmmaker Mode alongside support for IMAX Enhanced, HDR10+ and HLG. You can connect a games console via HDMI 2.1, with gaming features like 4 ms latency, VRR and FreeSync Premium Pro compatibilty. Plus, in Game Mode, the refresh rate is boosted to 240Hz. Running on HyperOS, the device has 4+64GB storage and a built-in 25W sound system, supporting Dolby Atmos. Alongside the HDMI 2.1 port are HDMI 2.0 eARC, USB3.0 and Ethernet. Other features include smart home connectivity, NFC and Wi-Fi 6 capabilities.
You can pre-order the Xiaomi TV S85 Mini LED in China for 7,999 yuan (~$1,100) with a 100 yuan (~$15) deposit. Whether or when the product could launch in other markets like North America or Europe remains to be seen.
