Xiaomi has revealed the TV S Mini LED in China, which is available in three sizes. The new smart TVs have bright panels with a 144Hz refresh rate and 94% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Other features include Xiaomi HyperOS, HDMI 2.1, support for Dolby Vision and AMD FreeSync Premium.

Xiaomi has unveiled the TV S Mini LED series in China. Available in 55-in, 65-in, and 75-in sizes, the new 4K model follows the TV S Pro series, which launched last year. While both the standard and Pro TVs have Mini LED panels, the latest version has fewer backlight partitions.

The 55-in, 65-in and 75-in TV S devices have 308, 392 and 512 partitions, respectively, while the 65-in TV S Pro has 896. The maximum brightness is also lower at 1,200 nits, rather than the 2,200 peak brightness seen for the Pro. Otherwise, the models are very similar, with 94% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and IMAX Enhanced. The display has a 144Hz refresh rate with 120Hz MEMC and a 240Hz gaming mode. Other gaming features include VRR, support for AMD FreeSync Premium and 4ms latency. You can connect a console or other gadgets via HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, and wireless connection options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The TVs run on a quad-core A73 processor with 4+64GB storage and Xiaomi HyperOS. The OS brings features like smart home linkage, app-based controls and voice commands. Other features of the TVs include built-in speakers and Filmmaker Mode. You can now buy the Xiaomi TV S55 Mini LED, S65 Mini LED and S75 Mini LED in China for the discounted prices of 2,799 yuan (~$390), 3,499 yuan (~$485) and 4,599 yuan (~$640). The TVs are listed with RRPs of 2,999 yuan (~$415), 3,999 yuan (~$555) and 5,499 yuan (~$760). This makes it cheaper than the TV S Pro, with the 65-in model priced at 4,999 yuan (~$690). Whether these products will reach other markets like Europe or North America is unclear.
