IKEA has announced the upcoming BRÄNNBOLL gaming collection. The company said it had developed the range to help customers create comfortable and fun spaces where they can game. The products resemble regular items of furniture to blend in with your home; a mixture of bright and neutral colors are used, moving away from the darker shades often used for gaming accessories.
The BRÄNNBOLL collection will feature 20 items, including ergonomic chairs tailored to "gaming postures". Photos shared by IKEA show a foldout armchair, a round inflatable chair with a nesting footstool and a chair with a series of springs connecting the seat to the frame for dynamic movement. A gaming station will combine PC tower storage with a foldable tabletop and appears to be concealed behind doors when not in use. In the photos, this is decorated with an RGB lighting product, similar to the Govee Smart WiFi LED Strip Lights.
For storage, there are wall-mounted and floor-standing options, such as a trolley on wheels and a basket that can also function as a table. The line-up is rounded off with various accessories like a mouse pad, a rug, and a throw. The IKEA BRÄNNBOLL collection is due to launch across markets worldwide this September. An exact launch date and pricing for each product have yet to be provided.
