Assassin's Creed Mirage is free to play for a short time in the free trial
Assassin's Creed Mirage, released on October 5, 2023 as the 13th main installment of the series, offers a free trial from April 16 to 30 for those unfamiliar with the game. During the trial, you can play the first 2 hours for free. If you enjoy the game and decide to purchase it, your progress will carry over. The free trial is available on all platforms: PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, as well as PC.
Ubisoft itself is not yet offering a discount. In the Xbox Spring Sale 2024, which runs until April 20, Assassin's Creed Mirage is reduced by 40 percent. This means Xbox gamers can purchase the Standard Edition for $30 instead of $50. The Deluxe and Master Assassin Editions, which include cosmetic content and weapons, are priced at $36 instead of $60, and $54 instead of $90, respectively.
Assassin's Creed Mirage goes back to the roots
Assassin's Creed Mirage transports players to 9th-century Baghdad during the golden age of Islam. The game marks a return to the series' roots, scaling back on RPG elements and focusing more on stealth and parkour. Players and critics have praised the game's atmosphere and the strong development of the main protagonist, Basim. However, the game has faced criticism for its stiff combat mechanics and predictable storytelling. On Metacritic, it has garnered a Metascore of 76 and a User Score of 7.2.
